Country Ambassadors

Country Ambassadors serve as representatives from the various exchange partner universities at events and provide support to the SF State Abroad and Exchange Programs. As a Country Ambassador, you will represent your home country abroad and institution in three ways: International Education Exchange Council (IEEC) Study Abroad Fair, Weekly IEEC/Study Abroad Tabling and Outbound Exchange Orientation.

Think about how you would like to represent your home country/university to SF State students. Each country will be given an empty table to decorate respective “Country Tables” at the International Education Exchange Council (IEEC) Study Abroad Fair each semester.

Decorating Ideas:

  • Wear traditional attire or university clothing
  • Pictures, maps
  • Games

Resources:

  • Art supplies are available in the Division of International Education located in Building C of the Village next to U.S. Bank. (This is also where you J1 advisors are located on campus.)
  • You will need to work together with your fellow students on decoration as well as determining who will cover the table throughout the fair and be available to speak with students.
  • Students are encouraged to connect with their home university as well as their country's consulate/embassy in San Francisco for materials.
